FMA is the exclusive commercial partner of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for the rights cycles 2021-2024 and 2025-2028. Our comprehensive mandate covers the rights for all major AFC National Team and Club competitions, including the AFC Asian Qualifiers - Road to Qatar, AFC Asian Cup, AFC Women’s Asian Cup, AFC Women’s Olympic Qualifiers, AFC Champions League, AFC Cup as well as AFC youth and futsal competitions.

The Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in the partnership/sponsorship sales team, developing new prospects and assist with generating revenue across mainland China, focusing on the 2023 China Asian Cup.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Part of the team to drive sponsorship revenue in China to reach and exceed sales targets, focusing on the 2023 Asian Cup
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify prospects in various categories
  • Proactively outreach to prospects through introductions, agency relationships and cold calls
  • Maintain active list of prospects and build relationships with key decision makers
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and in-line with internal planning processes to support efficient and effective sales management

 

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in sports sponsorship sales or sports marketing with rights holders, agencies or brands in China
  • A minimum education level of bachelor’s degree (4-year)
  • Proven record of securing sports sponsorship deals in China
  • Deep understanding of sponsorship sales cycle (prospecting, pitching, closing and contracting)
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Proactive and driven individual with a flexible mindset to adapt to changing environment
  • Experience with large-scale sporting events in China a plus
  • Knowledge and interest in football a distinct advantage
